Beginning at a young age, Nanette found a love of drawing and painting. A native Floridian born in 1977, she is a self taught artist. Her love of gardening inspired her to paint flora. Her subjects extend farther with the use of her imagination to capture the mystic and holy lands of our world. Specializing in the use of acrylics on canvas she also renders wall murals and paints on river rocks and furniture. Nanette is an active member of the Hobe Sound Fine Arts League.
“I have found that nature and cheerful, bright colors inspire me. I enjoy rendering nature in many forms, from flowers and butterflies to sacred and spiritual sites.
Being in nature and surrounded by it’s grand energy, motivates my urge to create. Historical and mysterious places also fascinate me. To paint scenes of them is very uplifting. Creating and producing images of these dream-like worlds from imagination, are my favorites. They bring me freedom of expression as I contemplate their charm.”
