Original Art & Unique Gifts

Lisa Woodard at the Garden of Goods galleries. I was first attracted to glass because of the beauty with the reflection and refraction of light.

"I cannot imagine my life without glass and its mouth-watering colors. Glass is very much a part of who I am. I still have the glass marbles from my youth and am not surprised that glass is a major part of my life today."
Lisa Woodard, owner of Glass Choices Studio since 2002, has been involved with glasswork for many years. Through experimentation, self-teaching and study with renowned glass artists, Lisa has developed a unique niche in the glass artistry business. Lisa is best known for functional and ornamental glass pieces in cold, and fused glass art. While she works to shape glass, with texture and form, Lisa also strongly believes that the final "glass choice" has to do with its properties at the different stages of the kiln's heat. It is with this free style that Lisa feels to "be one with the glass" and continues to grow and evolve as a professional glass artist. A wide variety of Lisa's work has been exhibited and sold in local galleries and specialty shops throughout southeastern Florida. Lisa's commissioned pieces range from decorative glass vessel sinks for yachts and homes to exquisite large bowls and dinnerware sets. Lisa's career has included work as a glass artist and as an instructor in stained glass. For Lisa, the world of art and glass artistry are a natural fit.
As part of a military family, Lisa traveled and lived in dessert, mountain and ocean environments in the U.S. and abroad. Lisa has a love of gardening that began with her work in a landscape nursery. Lisa's work and travel experiences are reflected in the natural quality of color and texture in her glasswork. Born in Trinidad, Lisa attended the University of Arizona, majoring in Design and Gymnastics. Lisa and her husband, settled in Port Saint Lucie, Florida in 1987.
