The Garden of Goods Galleries

Since 1990 Garth has been working clay on the wheel and freehand. Starting as a high school student and pursuing the many facets available in the ceramic field, he has created architectural terra cotta, production dinnerware, large scale pottery and sculpture. 

Having worked as an apprentice to renowned sculptors Gusto Kumar, Professor Henry Gernhardt and Ursula Von Rydingsvard, his  pursuits remain educational, functional and exploratory.

Working in schools, factories, palapa (bamboo huts) and in mountain top retreats has only fostered a diverse understanding of working ways. All along new studio spaces have brought many inspirations.

Today Garth is happy to be creating in the facility of his studio at The Garden of Goods Galleries in Hobe Sound which is designed to foster and attain excellent art.

"I express my appreciation for nature through the structure, texture and color of my pottery forms. It is my intent in creating these pieces to connect with and play with the abundance of inspiring forms around me."
